A Bit About Me

An enthusiastic public historian with intermittent 14 years’ experience in multiple appointments including paleontology and museology. Seeking ways to increase skills in collections, exhibits, and other public history avenues. Received Governor’s Great Service Certificate for Outstanding Performance in Hospitality and Customer Service from the governor of South Dakota. Graduated Masters in Public History with 4.0 GPA.

Work Experience

April 2024 - Present

Grant based project registrar in the Collections and Research Department at the Atlanta History Center where I de-installed an approximately 30 year old exhibit, inventoried the artifacts, and researched and wrote a contextual piece for each object for digitization purposes.

August 2023 - Decemberl 2023

Collections Intern at the Center for Puppetry Arts, where I spent over 160 hours working on exhibits, assisting with displays, and handling over 120 objects. My experience has been invaluable, as I have increased my knowledge tenfold in collections management. This internship, combined with other experiences, has confirmed my love for material culture.

January 2023 - November 2023

Graduate Research Assistant through the Center of Public History at University of West Georgia and partnered with the Atlanta History Center. I spent 667 hours learning the ins and outs of object handling and the inventory process of over 1200 records. 

August 2022 - December 2023

Graduate Research Assistant at the Antonio J. Waring Jr. Archaeology Lab help creating traveling exhibits through interviews and video editing.
